Video

Travis Tours uses video representation for all real estate tours in addition to traditional photo coverage. Video is a relatively new feature for the real estate virtual tour market so I have created a short article to explain more about the ins and outs.

The package deal offered by my services contains three forms of video media. The three forms are DVD, CD-ROM and online/internet video.

DVD Video

The video tour is edited and placed on DVD-R or DVD+R media. This DVD can be played in DVD players and computers. The video tour is best viewed on DVD as it has superior sound and resolution, while file size restraints reduce sound and image to a degree on the other two video formats.

DVDs have several uses. They can be placed in display boxes outside the house for people to take along with the traditional flyer. It is good to keep a DVD video library of houses for sale that you can play on a laptop for customers to see all of your properties in just minutes. DVD video tours can be displayed by those in your network at their place of business such as CPA offices, hair salons, mortgage companies, basically anyone with a television and DVD player or computer. This helps increase requests for in-person showings.

CD-ROM Video

The video tour is placed on a CD-ROM for easy customer duplication. Most will need my services for additional DVD copies should they want more, but the ability to make CD copies is something most computers are able to do.

Online Video

With Travis Tours, the online video is hosted for up to six months. The media players used are Windows Media Player, Quicktime Media Player, Apple's iPod & iTunes, and Youtube.
